Birth : Jypé was born in 1979 under a lucky star and grew up in Québec City.

Training : He holds a Bachelor’s degree in law and also trained as a carpenter. He is a self-taught artist who turned his life around after his father’s death. He decided to embrace his dream and live off his passion – painting.

Medium : Acrylic. Jypé is supported by a new force, a guide that helps him find his way. His level-headed and self-confident gestures make his paintings touching and vibrant with emotion.
Jypé’s main goal is to create a universe, a world in which everyone has a place. In the present moment, in the past, reliving memories or simply enjoying the moment. The key is to feel a passion, regret, love or disappointment.
Light is essential in his work as it brightens up his urban and dark horizons. It is through this light that we feel the depth. Its intensity brings us into the painting, in his world and allows us to travel within ourselves, inside of us.
